Brisbane Broncos half Anthony Milford will undergo a period of rehabilitation after scan results of his injured shoulder were reviewed this morning.

While his injury does not require an operation at this time, Milford is expected to have six weeks of rest before he is able to take the field again.

Milford was seen by specialist Dr Peter Rowan this morning.

"Anthony will not require surgery at this point and will undertake a period of six weeks of rehabilitation," said Broncos' High Performance Manager Jeremy Hickmans.

"At this moment it is not a season-ending injury, and he will be re-assessed when that rehabilitation period is over."
