Barnett, Burgess hit with charges

Knights lock Mitchell Barnett and Rabbitohs prop Tom Burgess were both hit with charges by the match review committee from Sunday's games.

Barnett was charged with making dangerous contact to the head or neck in a 77th-minute tackle on Wests Tigers halfback Luke Brooks but can escape a suspension with an early guilty plea.

Burgess is facing a fine after being charged with tripping Panthers prop James Tamou.
