Roosters fullback Michael Gordon has been ruled out for eight weeks with a pectoral muscle injury.

Gordon picked up the injury in the final 10 minutes of the Roosters' win over South Sydney on Friday night, with scans over the weekend revealing the extent of the damage.

The goal-kicking veteran, who has recently re-signed with the club for another season, could be sidelined until the finals series begins in September.
