There were two NRL match review committee charges to come out of the Round 22 Telstra Premiership games on Friday night.

St George Illawarra Dragons forward Jake Marketo was charged with grade one dangerous contact to the head/neck for an incident with South Sydney Rabbitohs hooker Damien Cook in the 58th minute of their clash at the SCG.

The base penalty for that charge is 100 points, and with his clean record Marketo can avoid suspension with an early guilty plea, reducing the charge to 75 points.

North Queensland Cowboys centre Kane Linnett copped the same charge and grading as Marketo for an incident with Melbourne Storm forward Kenny Bromwich.

Bromwich can also escape a ban by taking an early guilty plea.

Both players would have 75 carryover points if they take early guilty pleas for their respective charges.
