Corey Oates has got through training this morning and has proven his fitness for tomorrow night's preliminary final with the Storm.

Oates will travel to Melbourne with the team after medical staff made the final call.

"The doctor has cleared him to play," said Wayne Bennett.

David Mead is still on the Broncos’ extended bench as cover.

The decision to leave captain Darius Boyd out of the semi-final against the Panthers last week has paid dividends, with the Kangaroos’ fullback looking fully fit at training this morning.

He will play in the grand final qualifier, as will Tevita Pangai Junior, who has also beaten a hamstring injury to take his place on the interchange bench.
