Warriors second-rower Bodene Thompson will join English Championship side Leigh Centurions on a two-year deal.

The 29-year-old former Gold Coast and Wests Tigers player has made 143 NRL appearances since his debut in 2009, scoring six tries in 19 games this season.

"Bodene is a hard running, tough tackling edge player which is pretty much everything you want from someone in that position," Leigh coach Neil Jukes said.

"The fans will surely enjoy watching Bodene ply his trade in the great jersey of Leigh Centurions."
