Canberra Raiders centre Joey Leilua.

NRL.com Stats has crunched the numbers to pin-point the area each team must fix in 2018. While the Canberra Raiders boast a formidable attacking combination on their right edge, defensively that is exactly where they struggled in 2017.

The Raiders' right edge was identified early and targeted often by opposition defences in 2017.

Between them Joey Leilua (21 try causes) and Blake Austin (16 try causes) were found by NRL.com Stats to responsible for more tries than any other Raider.

Back-rower Elliott Whitehead did complete 48 effective one-on-one tackles, second only to Bulldogs back-rower Josh Jackson (72) in the Telstra Premiership.

But he also patrols the centre-right channel inside Austin and Leilua, with Canberra's right edge leaking just under half the 84 tries the Raiders conceded last year.
