NRL.com Stats has crunched the numbers to pin-point the area each team must fix in 2018. For the New Zealand Warriors, their performances too often crumbled in the final half hour of matches.

The most infuriating side in the game proved doubly so by the numbers in 2017, with the Warriors outscoring their opponents across the first 50 minutes of a game with 58 tries to 52, according to NRL.com Stats.

In the last half hour however, they well and truly dropped off a cliff – conceding 43 tries across the season as the clock wound down, and only scoring 20 themselves.

Four times they sat level at half-time against NRL heavyweights the Melbourne Storm, North Queensland and Manly Warringah Sea Eagles (twice), before going on to lose all four games, while also coughing up half-time leads in losses to the Penrith Panthers, Canberra Raiders and Souths Sydney Rabbitohs.

No wonder they've hired famed and feared trainer Alex Corvo, whose work with the Storm, Broncos, Queensland and Kangaroos has forged a reputation for producing the fittest footballers going around.
