All 16 NRL clubs are set to converge on The Rocks for the 2018 NRL season launch on Thursday, March 1. 

The event that officially kicks off the NRL season each year will have plenty of entertainment for fans scheduled in what promises to be an exciting day at First Fleet Park. 

NRL chief executive officer Todd Greenberg will deliver a speech at the event to herald the beginning of what shapes as an exciting year of rugby league. 

Fans are encouraged to show their colours and wear their club apparel and merchandise at the event which will feature captains and star players from each of the 16 clubs.

The launch will also allow fans to participate in meet and greets with former NRL players, NRL ambassadors and legends of the game. 

Fans will also be able to explore the rich history of the game at a pop-up museum and enjoy selfie spots that will feature GIANT #tags, club mascots and a giant NRL trophy. 

The Rocks will feature several pop-up food stalls with special discounted offers on site. 

In a further incentive for fans, merchandise packs and NRL Telstra Premiership match tickets are up as prizes throughout the day. 

For the fans that enjoy stage entertainment, cheerleaders from six NRL teams will be among those performing at the launch:

• Manly - Seabirds - 11.15am
• Dragons - Flames - 11.25am
• Sharks - Mermaids -11.40am
• Gold Coast Titans - 11.50am
• Penrith Panthers - Pantherettes - 12.00pm
