Canterbury Bulldogs second-rower Josh Jackson will front the NRL judiciary on Tuesday night to dispute the grading of his dangerous contact charge while Newcastle lock Mitchell Barnett has received a one-match suspension for a dangerous throw.

Jackson was charged over a tackle on Aidan Sezer in the 78th minute of the Bulldogs' round five loss to the Raiders in Canberra, and while pleading guilty will argue that the charge should be downgraded from a grade two to a grade one.

Barnett entered an early guilty plea over a tackle on Broncos prop Tevita Pangai jnr on Saturday night and will receive a one-match ban due to having 25 carry-over points to his name.

Meanwhile South Sydney's Tevita Tatola and Warriors hooker Issac Luke both received fines of $1100 for careless high tackles. Titans forward Ryan James and Manly's Jack Gosiewski both have until midday Tuesday to enter pleas to their charges, with James facing a suspension.
