Canberra five-eighth Blake Austin said the ongoing speculation as to his immediate playing future isn't a distraction as he continued to rebound from his shock demotion earlier this year.
The Raiders face the unenviable task of trying to re-sign nine of their top 17 players for next season, including Aidan Sezer, Josh Papalii and Austin.
Austin conceded it would be better to have his future already decided but added he wasn't going to rush in despite wanting to stay in the nation's capital.
"It's certainly easier having your future sorted, but this is the game we play and it's something we've become accustomed to," Austin said.
"The most important thing is winning games for the Raiders at the moment and what happens on the back of that everybody will sort out their future's when the time's right."
Austin did not elaborate if there were any other offers to play elsewhere in the NRL next season, saying he wants to commit to the Raiders.
"I'd still love to be in Canberra, my kids are comfortable here, so it's about making sure everything's right and being comfortable to put a signature on a piece of paper," he said.

"If I am going to do that, I want to be 100% committed and making sure I'm helping the Raiders get some success."
Austin said it was unfortunate the fans had to sit through the speculation that surrounded the mass number of contracts yet to be tied up for 2019.
However, he said he could not think of an alternate model that would appease players and fans.
Gold Coast travel to GIO Stadium this Saturday where they have enjoyed an impressive level of success recently.
The Titans have walked away with the points four out of the last five games in Canberra.
Despite their late loss to the Titans in round one, in which Canberra gave up a 24-6 lead, Austin said there were no feelings of revenge this week among the Green Machine.
"We were disappointed with how that first round went, the season's too long to think about revenge or anything like that, where we sit on the ladder it's a really important game and one we have to win," he said.
Normally known as one of the best finishing wingers in the game, Jordan Rapana "rolled up his sleeves" and earned a game-high 220 metres in their win over the Cowboys last Saturday.
"Probably the tough wins where I might not get too many tries personally, but the ones where you can grind it out and everybody has played a huge role and worked hard," Rapana said.
"We've got big forwards so if we defend well which we did on the weekend, they had the majority of the ball and we could see our middles were tired, so we rolled the sleeves up, got to work, and helped them out."
