Eels back-rower Manu Ma'u.

Despite suffering their ninth loss in 11 games, Parramatta players remain confident they can turn their season around and don't believe coach Brad Arthur's tenure should be in question.

Hooker Cameron King can't recall the Eels having a poor training session this season but transferring that solid practice form to the playing field has proven to be a different story.

"The goal is still to play finals," King said.

"I can't remember us having a bad session all year, everyone is really positive. Unfortunately, what we're doing at training is not translating out onto the field on the weekend.

"We aren't sitting where we would like to be at the moment but that's in our control to try and turn that around. I still believe we can go on a run and give the competition a shake."

But with every loss comes more pressure on Arthur. Back-rower Manu Ma'u said he spoke for all the team when he said the players wanted Arthur as their coach.

"A hundred percent. We all love B.A,'' Ma'u said.

"It's just not happening for us out on the field, but Brad isn't out there on the field."

A 2-9 win-loss record gives little joy to players, but Ma'u remains intent on instilling confidence into the younger generation.

"We just have to try and stay composed out on the field," he said.

"Us older players have to make sure the young boys don't see us upset or down, because they look up to us. So we keep our spirits up and make sure we keep turning up for as it long as it takes to turn."

Ma'u said it was not hard for him to stay motivated because of his love for the club. He made his debut in 2014 and has earned six Test caps for New Zealand and seven for Tonga.

"I just keep doing my job for Parramatta each week, keep telling the boys we have to work together to get that win," he said.

"I still have faith we can turn the season around and get a few wins. If we stick together, stick solid, it will happen. I love these guys and I love the club. We're pretty tight."

Despite the fact the Eels lost to the Warriors 24-14 on Friday night, the rugged back-rower ran a beautiful angled line to score Parramatta's second try.

"That was sweet," Auckland-born Ma'u said.

"It was good to score against the Warriors, because they were the team I grew up supporting being a Kiwi."
