The official NRL App has been given a pre-Origin overhaul to make it even easier for fans to follow the game on their phones and tablets.

For game two of the Holden State of Origin series, fans have the option of turning on live score alerts to stay up to date with every single scoring play of the game.

While live video of the game is exclusive to host broadcaster Channel Nine, fans will still be able to watch both the Pacific tests on Saturday plus Friday night's historic Women's State of Origin live on the App.

Simply update the app and follow the instructions in the video to ensure you don't miss a moment of the action.
