While Cowboys coach Paul Green's half-time speech may have been a definitive factor in turning around the Cowboys' dismal first-half performance against the Knights, he's in no hurry to repeat it, noting it was more "spray" than "inspire".
"I don't think the boys would really appreciate that, I don't think my blood pressure could handle it either," Green said.
Captain Johnathan Thurston gave his trademark laugh at his coach's confidence after the 20-18 comeback win, but admitted it was deserved given their shoddy first half effort.
"He just stated the obvious really, our start, turning the ball over and a couple of other things, a couple of f-bombs in there," Thurston said.
"But the boys responded well and the stuff that's been missing, that we've built up over the years, I thought we showed tonight."
The Cowboys' second half displayed the character that carried them to the 2017 grand final, as they defended repeat sets on their line with effort after effort, before clinching victory with barely any time to spare.

The premiership-winning coach was pleased to see it return tonight, even if it was too late in 2018.
"So far the year we've had, that character is something we've built up over the years and at times when we thought it would appear it hasn't, it's good to see that it's still there," he said.
"The boys showed it tonight, to come from that position, 18-6 down and to win the way we did and keep our composure at the end and it was a big play there by Te Maire, it's great to see."
