If you think the Warriors are content with clinging onto a spot in the top eight, think again.
Bunty Afoa insists the Auckland-based club still has serious designs on the top four despite their lean run heading into Sunday's match against the Gold Coast Titans.
The powerful prop's rebound recipe is so simple you might call it schoolboy stuff.
"For us it's just fundamentals, just catch and pass," the 21-year-old said.
"I think a lot of people take that for granted," he said.
"In the NRL, they think it's the big plays that will help out but it's just as simple as catch and pass that can win the games."
Afoa is likely to play off the bench against the Titans following an eye-catching return from injury in the Warriors' 12-6 loss to the visiting Melbourne Storm week.
Afoa made his comeback after dislocating his left elbow in a friendly fire incident with a teammate against the Sharks in round 16.
He couldn't prevent the Warriors from slipping to their third loss in four matches, as simple errors proved costly against the reigning premiers. But it clearly hasn't dented the confidence of Stephen Kearney's men.

"All the boys are still positive we can make the top four," Afoa said, before offering a caveat.
"For us it's all about our actions. You know, we can say we can make it but it comes down to the games. We've got some great teams we're coming up against. The Titans [are] an on and off team, but when they're on they can be a top team. We've got the Dragons the following week so [if] we can make a standpoint on them, a lot of teams will be scared of us.
"For us, it is just the last execution of the pass, or we just needed to put the ball down, those are the [types of] things that are hurting us. But we're taking great positives from that game [against the Storm]."
Afoa is looking forward to 10 days on the road, with the Warriors moving on from Robina to face the Dragons in Wollongong on Saturday week.
"Yeah it will be awesome, just to get into that bonding time," he said.
"It will be sad for a lot of the boys who have kids and family but we're taking it on the positive side where we can come in together, connect. You know we're heading into the serious part of the season where we need to start racking up some wins.
"For me personally, I'm not taking the Titans lightly. They had a loss against Newcastle last week but for me, I just want to bring that energy and fire off the bench. We've got Agnatius [Paasi] and [James] Gavet up front, they lead the way, and then for me, off the bench, my role is to bring that same impact as what they start that first 20 minutes with. I'm excited to go to the GC and give it my all."
