North Queensland Cowboys v Brisbane Broncos

Petero Civoniceva's prediction: The loss of Josh McGuire and Tevita Pangai jnr will hurt the Broncos but with so much to play for I expect them to hit back after last week's shock loss. The Cowboys have had a horror year but the playing group will respond for JT in his last few games and they'll want him to go out on a high. Always epic battles between these two but Brisbane will get the job done.

New Zealand Warriors v Newcastle Knights

Petero Civoniceva's prediction: Issac Luke brings up game No.250 and that will motivate his team-mates as he has been great for them since coming from Souths. There Warriors are level on 26 points with the Broncos and Sharks so they have way too much to play for to be losing at home.

South Sydney Rabbitohs v Sydney Roosters

Petero Civoniceva's prediction: This will be an absolute cracker. The Rabbitohs were very impressive against the Storm but I'm wondering if that game may have taken a lot out of Seibold's men. The Roosters were less impressive but still got the job done and that's the sign of a good side. The Bunnies are slight favourites but I'll go for a mini-upset and tip the Roosters.

Gold Coast Titans v Penrith Panthers

Petero Civoniceva's prediction: It has been a massive week at Penrith but I don't think the change of coach will disrupt the team. They know they have to start building momentum for the finals and this is a crucial clash with just four games to play. If anything the drama will galvanise the players and they'll come out firing.
Tip: Panthers by 10

Manly Sea Eagles v Canterbury Bulldogs

Petero Civoniceva's prediction: I have to give the Bulldogs a big rap for the way they played against Brisbane. It would have been easy for them to turn it up but they have dug deep in recent weeks. You could say the same about Manly as well after their gutsy win over the Sharks. Should be a tight contest and both sides will be confident coming off victories but Manly can win at home.
Tip: Sea Eagles by 4

Parramatta Eels v Ste George Illawarra Dragons

Petero Civoniceva's prediction: It's D-day for the Dragons. There's no doubt their form has slipped and their confidence must be down. The question is whether the Eels have enough clout to take advantage of that. Jarryd Hayne has his mojo back and he'll test the Dragons defence but it's time for the Red V to draw a line in the sand and produce the sort of form that wins semi-finals.
Tip: Dragons by 8

Canberra Raiders v Wests Tigers

Petero Civoniceva's prediction: The Raiders are unpredictable and hard to follow and they've been rocks and diamonds at home this season. They had a big lead again last week and got run down and that's a worry but I'm sure a serve from Ricky Stuart will have them primed to give their fans something to cheer about.
Tip: Raiders by 6

Melbourne Storm v Cronulla Sharks

Petero Civoniceva's prediction: What a way to finish the round! The Storm rarely drop two games in a row and the return of Suliasi Vunivalu is a massive boost. Craig Bellamy will demand a ruthless attitude going into September and I expect a strong response from the premiers at home this week. There's no doubt the Sharks are one of the teams that get under Melbourne's skin and the confrontations will be very physical.
Tip: Storm by 8
