Latrell Mitchell will be free to play for the Roosters in week one of the finals after receiving a minor charge from the NRL match review committee.

The Sydney Roosters centre was charged with dangerous contact for a "cannonball" tackle on Eels opponent Clint Gutherson in the 76th minute of the mammoth win at Allianz Stadium over the wooden spooners.

Mitchell and the Tricolours had faced a nervous wait after his 76th minute shot on Gutherson, but the NSW Origin centre can take an early guilty plea to a grade one dangerous contact charge for the tackle, allowing him to take on Cronulla next week.

The Roosters are already without fellow representative star Dylan Napa through suspension, with his three-week ban to keep him out until the grand final if the minor premiers earn themselves a week off with another win.

Titans forward Moeaki Fotuaiki will also avoid suspension after he was charged with dangerous contact on Cowboys veteran Scott Bolton on the Gold Coast on Saturday night.
