The London Broncos will return to England's Super League after defeating the Toronto Wolfpack 4-2 in the Million Pound Game at Toronto's Lamport Stadium.

The match, which sealed London's promotion from the Championship to the 11-team Super League, was decided by penalty goals with the Wolfpack having one try disallowed and three others denied by try-saving tackles from a desperate Broncos defence.

Former Penrith Panthers playmaker Jarrod Sammut kicked both penalties for London, with Wolfpack fullback Gareth O'Brien kicking his team's only points to level the scores at 2-2 midway through the second half before Sammut landed his second goal.

Former Raiders and Dragons playmaker Josh McCrone had a try disallowed for for the Wolfpack for offside while Toronto's Ashton Sims was held up over the line.

The defeat ended Toronto's campaign for what would have been an historic promotion to the top division in England.
