Trent Barrett won't be sighted at Manly until his contract expires in July after he and the club reached an agreement over his immediate future on Friday.

The Sea Eagles released a statement saying that while Barrett would still be employed by the club, he won't attend work during that time unless required to do so by the club.

The signing of Des Hasler last month left the club with two coaches and in need of a resolution.

Barrett's decision to quit in July created the scenario which resulted in Hasler's signing.

"On the understanding that Trent abides by his obligations under his employment contract, he is entitled to and will be paid each month in accordance with his contract," the Manly statement said.
