NRL player's hilarious plea to find new club

Yet to find a new club for the upcoming NRL season, former Parramatta Eels and Wentworthville Magpies Hooker Cameron King has gone out on a limb by using Twitter to offer his services for a possible new suitor for 2019.

King's tweet offered a short but hilarious description of his playing ability and character, saying he enjoys "hard work and winning" before finishing with a plea to "please retweet to raise awareness".

The post enjoyed plenty of banter with over 500 retweets and 800 likes, while the Newtown Jets responded with a name and contact number in a promising sign for the live-wire No.9.

King cemented himself as one of the good guys of Rugby league when he was nominated for the Ken Stephen medal for his work in the community, turning the mis-fisfortunes of an injury-riddled season into a positive.

He previously took to Instagram to post a heart-felt and appreciative message to Eels fans after it was confirmed they would not be re-signing the 27-year-old for 2019.

King made his NRL debut for the Dragons in 2010 before stints with the Cowboys and Eels took him to 43 First-Grade appearances.
