Knights forward Jacob Saifiti has been cleared of any wrongdoing after being involved in an altercation on Sunday morning which resulted in him suffering a broken leg.

Saifiti was exonerated by the police investigation from any culpability, having attempted to defuse a situation involving other innocent bystanders outside the Greenroof Hotel in Hamilton.

Saifiti was involved in a verbal altercation with a patron which was broken up by security.

There was a push and shove which resulted in Saifiti suffering a punch and falling awkwardly, injured his leg and being transported to hospital by security staff.
