Finding motivation in familiar territory was easy for an emotionally-charged Warriors in round one but they expect Sunday's trip to Campbelltown Stadium to be a much tougher ask.

Just a day on from the horrific mass shootings in Christchurch, the Warriors played in front of an 18,795-strong crowd in Auckland and ran riot to register a 40-6 victory over the Bulldogs.

But speaking to NRL.com this week, forward Lachlan Burr said the Warriors are making a conscious effort to reset their mentality ahead of meeting the Wests Tigers.

"It's going to be very different," Burr said.

"We had our home crowd on the weekend, but we are going to their turf and they are going to come out firing.

"[Last week] there was a whole emotional part with what happened over here, but going over there it's going to be a tough game at Campbelltown.

"All the boys know what we need to do. We all want to get better, and we will."

The victory over the Bulldogs was the Warriors' greatest winning margin in almost five years and the first time they have reached the 40-point mark in close to three years.

But despite the dominant nature of the result, coach Stephen Kearney said there was still plenty of areas to critique in the review session before playing a Tigers side who hit Manly with three second-half tries to win 20-6.

"It's not hard to find areas to be better. Individually there's little areas we can be better at," Kearney said.

"There's always something you can be better at and there's always room for improvement.

"I thought given the conditions the [Tigers'] two senior players in the side [Robbie Farah and Benji Marshall] played fantastic. Their experienced and crafty players picked apart Manly.

"Knowing Benji and Robbie, that's most certainly what we have to watch out for. It was a strong performance by them."

Warriors hooker Issac Luke is a chance of making his return from shoulder surgery against the Tigers after his capable understudy Nathaniel Roache filled in at hooker in pre-season trials and round one.

The 31-year-old completed most of the ball work in Tuesday's session – stopping at one stage for treatment on his hamstring – with Kearney confirming Luke is in the frame to at least make the initial squad.

"He's in contention for the 21," he said.

"We will just have to wait and see how he pulls up. He trained a bit today, so we will probably make a better assessment once we get an idea of him after today's session.

"I thought [Roache] was strong [against the Bulldogs], off the back of a couple of trial performances where we gradually increased his time. He squeezed out close to 55 minutes … I thought they were positive signs."
