Canberra fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad's injured right knee has responded to treatment well and he expects to line up against Manly on Sunday.
The former Warriors part-timer has been one of the buys of the season through six rounds, though his immediate future hung in the balance when he was left prone on GIO Stadium last Sunday after a heavy collision with Broncos five-eighth Anthony Milford.
Nicoll-Klokstad faced the media on Tuesday with only a compression garment on his right leg, saying scans revealed no serious damage after the incident.
"I went for scans for peace of mind ... structurally there's nothing wrong with it, it's just a matter of how much soreness I can run with," Nicoll-Klokstad said.
"It's actually pretty good. I iced as best as I could the last few days and I'll continue to do that and I'll be doing everything outside of training to get my best opportunity to play.
"I'm pretty confident I'll be playing. It's getting better every day and I was able to do squats and lunges today so it's good.
Get Caught Up: Round 6
"I was quite surprised I was able to do lunges and squats. I've got light run tomorrow with the boys and pick up on Thursday."
Nicoll-Klokstad's early-season form has been crucial for the Raiders as it's allowed coach Ricky Stuart to continue with former fullback Jack Wighton at five-eighth.
If Nicoll-Klokstad was forced from the field against the Broncos, it might've meant a reshuffle of Nick Cotric to the number one jersey, Jarrod Croker to wing and Elliot Whitehead to left centre.
Fortunately for the Raiders and their continuity, no drastic line-up changes don't appear to be on the horizon.
"He's a tough little bugger and he's been playing so well, so for him to keep going on the weekend it was a fair effort from him," Cotric said of Nicoll-Klokstad.
"I wasn't too sure what was wrong with him. It looked pretty bad when he hit his knee and I all I was thinking was 'oh no I hope he stays on'. But it was good he was tough and kept fighting on."
The only changes for the Raiders for round seven are on the interchange with Emre Guler and Jack Murchie making their debuts for the season at the expense of JJ Collins and Hudson Young.
Tackle of the week: Round 6
Manly coach Des Hasler has stuck with the same 17 that went agonisingly close to knocking off St George-Illawarra last weekend.
Nicoll-Klokstad said the 3-3 Sea Eagles won't be taken lightly as the Raiders look to continue their excellent start to the season
"Man, I feel for them, I was watching that game and it was tough game for both the Dragons and Manly, so they'll come out firing this weekend," Nicoll-Klokstad said.
"It's early days. I'm really proud of where the Canberra Raiders are heading as a group, but we know it's only been six rounds and looking at the ladder everybody is two or three wins away from being in the top eight."
