The electric footwork and speed of Knights fullback Kalyn Ponga saw him leave Bulldogs defenders grasping at thin air in Magic Round and handed him Try of the Week honours.

With the Knights up by six and three minutes remaining, Ponga took the ball 40 metres out and put a dazzling step on Kieran Foran before burning the turf on the way to his fourth try of the season.

The Knights have now won three games on the trot and much of that success has been built around Ponga's ability to inject himself into the game from fullback and put defenders in two minds.

Ponga beat out Melbourne Storm duo Josh Addo-Carr and Curtis Scott, who both produced long-range classics in the win  over the Eels, and Wests Tigers centre Esan Marsters.
