Jason Taumalolo lived up to expectations – and then some – as some of the usual suspects delivered strong results in the first bye round of the season.

Winners

Jason Taumalolo was the most popular captaincy choice of round 12 and he repaid his owners by joining the Fantasy 100 club, scoring a try and making a season-high eight tackle breaks for 103 points.

Elsewhere Eels half Mitch Moses and Manly prop Addin Fonua-Blake both scored 80, James Fisher-Harris made 62 tackles on the way to 64 points, Raiders fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad continued a strong season at fullback with 63 and John Bateman returned from injury with a bang – scoring a try and earning 61 points.

Elsewhere, popular buys Martin Taupau (55), Reed Mahoney (55) and Adam Reynolds (53) all lived up to expectations as bye-round pickups, and those coaches who downgraded to bargain-basement hookers Dean Britt (51) and Mitch Kenny (50) or rookie winger Brian To'o (48) were repaid with quality round 12 scores.

And much hyped cash cow option Siliva Havili scored a very solid 46 points in 62 minutes in the absence of injured Raiders hooker Josh Hodgson.

Losers

Any points are good points on a bye round, although there were some underwhelming returns from some players who Fantasy coaches were relying on to make up the numbers.

Rabbitohs fullback Corey Allan (10) made little impact in Souths' loss to the Eels. Bryce Cartwright (27) delivered a mediocre score from the bench. Canberra skipper Jarrod Croker (20) and Eels winger Blake Ferguson (23) were both kept quiet.

And Raiders cash cow Hudson Young (30) became an instant sell on Sunday when he was charged with eye gouging and hit with a likely five-match ban.
