Eels winger Maika Sivo's effort to deny Gehamat Shibasaki in Parramatta's win over Brisbane on Saturday earned him Tackle of the Week honours for Round 14.

Sivo's Eels teammate Clint Gutherson slowed Shibasaki's momentum, but Sivo was still required to prevent a four-pointer.

Fans decided that Sivo's try-saver was better than the one Wests Tigers fullback Corey Thompson was able to complete in his side's win over the Cowboys.

The two other finalists for Round 14 were bone-jarring efforts from Roosters captain Boyd Cordner (Roosters) and Sharks back-rower Briton Nikora.
