Blues fullback James Tedesco at his evasive best

NSW coach Brad Fittler has appointed James Tedesco as Blues vice-captain for game two at Optus Stadium on Sunday night.

In a strong indication that skipper Boyd Cordner may not play the 80 minutes, the Blues have decided to appoint a vice captain for the second game of the series.

Blues legend Mark Geyer, who is in Perth to attend a Western Reds reunion, presented the players with their jerseys at the team hotel on Friday night.

It was at the jersey presentation that Tedesco was named vice-captain, another milestone for the game's premier fullback.

It's expected Cordner will spend some time on the bench in game two, with specialist left edge back-rower Wade Graham selected on the bench at the expense of Angus Crichton.

St George Illawarra's Tariq Sims is also a renowned left side back-rower, but is likely to spend time in the middle of the field.
