Cronulla have received a massive boost leading into Sunday's stoush with Brisbane by re-signing rising star Briton Nikora.
The rookie back-rower, who made his Test debut for New Zealand last month against Tonga, was contracted until the end of 2020 but has extended his deal for another two seasons.
"It’s very exciting and I’m grateful for the opportunity to stay at Cronulla. It’s a dream come true," Nikora said.
"I’m learning every day at training, learning from all the senior players.
"I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me and the Sharks and I’m happy to be here and to be given the opportunity."
Morris lauds Nikora
Nikora has been one the standout performers for the Sharks through the opening 15 rounds of the season.
His contract extension complements the re-signing of a number of the Sharks younger brigade, with Blayke Brailey, Jack Williams, Braden Hamlin-Uele and Billy Magoulias among the current crop of young stars to commit their next few years to the Cronulla club.
