Lone Scout's NRL Fantasy Q&A: Round 25

This is it, the final round of the regular season and climax of the NRL Fantasy year.

The Fantasy gods have sent a few final hurdles our way in the form of injuries for Tom Trbojevic, Cameron McInnes and Cameron Munster plus the resting of one of the game's most popular players, John Bateman.

So how should you use that crucial final trade (if you've got one)? Read on.

This week's big questions

With one trade left and no CTR cover who would you trade Bateman for? Latrell, Momirovski, Hopoate or Dugan? Someone else with the potential to go big?

From Brandon Scott Lee

It's all about individual match-ups for one-off rounds, so let's look at each of the contenders' opponents.

Latrell Mitchell, Paul Momirovski and Will Hopoate all have the potential to score very big, and Mitchell is probably the best of those genuine centres this week. None have easy match-ups (Mitchell is up against the Rabbitohs while Momirovski faces Cronulla and Hopoate is taking on Brisbane) but Mitchell has seven tries in his past five games and is playing for a Roosters side that is in good form and getting stronger with Cooper Cronk and Boyd Cordner returning.

Elsewhere, Josh Dugan could score well at fullback against the Tigers but is under an injury cloud, while the safest bet for a decent score may be dual-position second-rower Briton Nikora (who's probably in your squad already).

Trading out McInnes. Who should I bring in out of Moses, Ma'u or D. Fifita?

From Bryce Liam Callanan

Before last week I'd have said Mitchell Moses, who hadn't scored below 50 for 11 weeks and was regularly scoring above 65. But last week's 26 against Brisbane is a major concern. David Fifita is in irresistible form after scores of 100 and 90, although beware he scored 38 the week before his century. Manu Ma'u may be the safest option of the three, averaging 66 points a game recently, while Fifita has the highest ceiling. If you're needing to win a head-to-head battle and are the underdog, get Fifita, otherwise Ma'u or (if you're backing him to bounce back) Moses.

Two trades to replace Bateman, Turbo & McInnes. Suggestions for guys who may go big this weekend please.

From Adrian Estrich

Apart from the usual suspects (Haas, Taumalolo, Cook, Smith, Tedesco, etc) I like the look of Ben Hunt against the Titans (who concede the most tries in the competition), Connor Watson against the Panthers (who concede the most tackle breaks in the comp) and Ryan Papenhuyzen against the Cowboys in Melbourne.

Trbojevic injury hurts Fantasy coaches

I’m playing Lone Scout in the GF. I'd like to know how many trades LS has left?!

From Zac Keune

A big, fat zero.
