With the Roosters charging late and the Bunnies defence under pressure it was Cameron Murray who stood tall yet again with a classic shot on Billy Smith which forced a turnover.

Murray had been forced to defend in the centres after injuries forced a reshuffle but the NSW Blues lock barely missed a beat and his tackle on Smith was one of 33 he made for the night.

The ball-and-all shot on Smith has earned Murray tackle of the week honours for round 25 with 48 per cent of the vote.

In second spot in tackle of the week voting was a bloke playing his first NRL game for the season - Warrior Taane Milne.

Not only did Milne help the Warriors to a massive upset win in Canberra but he delivered a textbook hit on Raiders hooker Josh Hodgson to get himself into the conversation for tackle of the week.

Eels centre Michael Jennings' tackle on Jake Trbojevic to stop a Manly attacking raid and Dragon Korbin Sims' hit on Titan Tanah Boyd were the other contenders in round 25.
