Eels winger Mika Sivo.

Parramatta fan favourite Maika Sivo has upgraded and extended his contract at the club until the end of the 2021 season.

The powerful 25-year-old winger made his Telstra Premiership debut with the Eels in round one this year, quickly cementing his position and finishing the season as NRL’s top try scorer with 22 tries to claim the 2019 Ken Irvine Medal.

A finalist for the Dally M Rookie of the Year award, Sivo topped off his incredible debut season playing for Fiji in the inaugural World Cup 9s tournament last weekend.

Sivo's retention will be music to the ears of Eels fans. The speedster has quickly become a cult hero with the Blue & Gold faithful.

After rising from wooden spooners in 2018 to the finals this season, Parramatta are well placed to be one of the contenders for the title next season with Panthers prop Reagan Campbell-Gillard recently joining the club.
