In a series analysing who will line up in each position for all 16 teams in the opening round of the Telstra Premiership in 2020, looks at grand finalists the Canberra Raiders. says: The recruitment of Curtis Scott has resulted in Joey Leilua going to Wests Tigers while George Williams is a straight swap at halfback for Aidan Sezer.

John Bateman is expected to miss the first six or seven rounds as he recovers from shoulder surgery, so Corey Horsburgh is set to move to the edge with Joseph Tapine to lock the scrum.

Ryan Sutton took the early guilty plea for a shoulder charge in Canberra's trial against the Bulldogs and will miss the first round. Luke Bateman is in line for a bench spot.
