Knights back-rower Aidan Guerra.

Knights veteran Aidan Guerra has put six autographed Queensland State of Origin jerseys up for auction to raise money for Australia's bushfire victims and support services.

Official commemorative jerseys from all three matches in the Maroons' winning 2015 and 2016 series, autographed by the team, are available through the Instagram account @jerseys4bushfires.

Offers have already been made for more than $700 since the auction went live on Monday night. The three highest bidders for each series will receive one jersey each, with the auctions to end on Wednesday, 8 January at 7pm.

Funds raised will go to the NSW Rural Fire Service, WIRES Wildlife Rescue and the Australian Red Cross.

"As everyone knows our country is hurting, so many people are being affected by these devastating bushfires," Guerra wrote on Instagram.

"I, like many are struggling to come to grips with the magnitude of what is even actually happening, and how long it will take [if ever] for those regions and the people of those regions to recover."

He urged people to "please bid with deep pockets and a big heart", adding: "These jerseys mean a lot to me, but I'm happy to give them up in support."

The back-rower said his heart was "breaking for families and the animals and everyone that's suffering" in an accompanying video.

Guerra has represented Queensland 10 times, scoring a try in game three of the 2015 series to help his state reclaim the Origin shield.

The 31-year-old has played 190 NRL games since he debuted for the Roosters in 2010, moving to Newcastle in 2018.

A number of NRL clubs are finding various ways to give to the bushfire relief cause.

The Bulldogs have given a $50,000 donation, while the Wests Tigers have assembled a number of auction items and game-day experiences people can bid for.
