Panthers playmaker Tyrone May has been sentenced to 300 hours community service and a three-year community corrections order after pleading guilty to four charges of intentionally recording an intimate image without consent.

The 23-year-old five-eighth was charged over two videos recorded in separate incidents in 2018 and was stood down from playing duties under the NRL's no-fault stand down rule following his arrest on March 5 last year, missing the 2019 season.

An NRL spokesman said the NRL and the Panthers will meet next week to finalise the matter.

May made his NRL debut for Penrith in 2017 and has played 19 matches for the club and one Test for Samoa.
