Try of the Week: Round 8 - Maumalo makes his mark

The Warriors haven't had a whole lot to smile about in 2020 but Round 8 may just be the turning point with a gutsy win over the Broncos made even sweeter by Ken Maumalo taking out Try of the Week honours.

Maumalo's acrobatic effort to score in the corner with seven minutes remaining was one of many highlights for the Warriors and won him 44 per cent of the fan vote to edge out Panther Dylan Edwards with 30 per cent.

Maumalo broke his 2020 tryscoring drought in style with a double against the Broncos and he'll be looking to go on with the job against the Titans this week.

The other contenders for Try of the Week were Kurt Mann's skilful effort in the Knights' drama-charged with at Lottoland, which secured 19 per cent of the vote, and Bulldog Marcelo Montoya who came in fourth with seven per cent.
