Cowboys star Michael Morgan.

Michael Morgan is fit and ready to play the Gold Coast Titans on Sunday but the imminent birth of his first child may result in a double-date.

Morgan, who has been on the way back from shoulder surgery, has been named at halfback for the Cowboys in what will be his first game since round two.

Among a raft of changes at other clubs, Corey Norman has been dropped to the reserves list by the Dragons and David Fifita makes a long-awaited return from injury for the Broncos.

Cowboys coach Josh Hannay has dropped Jake Clifford to the extended bench and stuck with Ben Hampton at five-eighth to partner Morgan for the clash at Cbus Stadium.

As for the arrival of Morgan’s first child with wife Brianna, the Cowboys coach said that was out of his hands.

"I’m pretty good as a coach but I can’t control when she does give birth to the little one, as much as I’d like to, so we’ll see what happens there," Hannay said.

"If Michael wasn’t able to make the  game then Jake Clifford is in the squad and he’d come straight in.

"[Morgan’s return] is great news for the club and me personally. It has been a fair process for him to get back into this position where he is able to play.

"Every precaution has been taken with Mick and we are not rushing him back. He is clear in his own mind, which is the most important thing, that he is ready to go so it is very exciting.

"He is going to be there. There is no doubt. That is why he is named in the seven, because he is ready to rock and roll."

Fresh Walker fracture rocks Sea Eagles, better news for Cowboys

In another Dragons re-shuffle prompted by Norman's demotion, Ben Hunt will partner Adam Clune in the halves, with Tristan Sailor named in the No.14 jersey.

Fifita has been named in the second-row for a Brisbane side that will be without utility back Anthony Milford due to a hamstring injury. Brodie Croft and Tom Dearden will team up in the halves against South Sydney on Friday night.

The Sharks have named centres Josh Dugan and Jesse Ramien to return from injury after both were late withdrawals last weekend.

At the Roosters, Lachlan Lam has been named in the No.7 jersey with Kyle Flanagan out of the squad.

Cameron Smith isn't the only high-profile name missing from the Storm side, with fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen also absent. Nicho Hynes has been named in the No.1 jersey for the match against the Bulldogs.
