Eels coach Brad Arthur has been rewarded for his work in turning the club around by signing a deal that will keep him at Parramatta until the end of 2022.

The Eels confirmed on Wednesday that Arthur will lead the club into a ninth year after a remarkable turnaround that has seen the side go from cellar-dwellers to premiership contenders in the space of 18 months.

Currently second behind Brian Smith for most games in charge of the blue and gold, Arthur's recent win record sits at 65.8% since the side's wooden spoon finish in 2018.

The Eels are now well placed to push towards a third finals campaign in four seasons.

"I'm really pleased that the club has the confidence in me to continue to lead the team towards our goal of bringing success to our members and fans," Arthur said in a statement.

"Our playing group has evolved quite considerably over the last couple of years and they are determined to drive high standards to ensure we achieve our goals.

"I am looking forward to the challenge of leading this group and continuing to develop our emerging junior talent in an exciting period for our club and I know that the blue and gold army will be behind us every step of the way."

Eels CEO Jim Sarantinos said Arthur had the team to deliver results in future big games and the club's off-field structures had created much-needed stability for the team.

"Our retention and recruitment planning means that we have a strong squad that is locked in for an extended period," Sarantinos said.

"We believe Brad's strong relationship with this playing group will be an important factor in achieving our goals as a club."
