Cowboys prop Josh McGuire has been fined $900 after entering an early guilty plea to a grade one careless high tackle charge.
The original fine was $750 – issued for a 75th-minute tackle on Kalyn Ponga in the side's loss to Newcastle on Sunday – but three previous charges over the last two years for the former Queensland and Australia representative bumped up the penalty.
St George Illawarra prop Paul Vaughan will miss two matches after entering an early guilty plea to a crusher tackle charge.
His tackle on Brisbane winger Richie Kennar on Friday night would have resulted in a three-week ban if he had failed to secure a not guilty result at the judiciary.
He misses games against the Titans and Cowboys and returns for the Round 18 match against Canberra.

Raiders prop Josh Papalii and Manly winger Tevita Funa will both pay $550 fines after being issued grade one high tackle (careless) charges.
Star Panthers second-rower Viliame Kikau also faced a two-match ban following his team's win over the Sharks but an early guilty plea cut that back to one week.

Kikau was handed a grade two dangerous contact charge for a late hit on Sharks half Braydon Trindall.
Broncos hooker Issac Luke, who had two prior offences in the past two years, accepted a one-match ban with an early guilty plea after being charged with grade one dangerous contact.
The charge stemmed from a tackle on Dragons forward Josh Kerr in the opening minutes of Friday night's game.
Teammate Kotoni Staggs was fined $850 for a grade one careless high tackle on St George Illawarra's Euan Aitken.
Eels forward Marata Niukore was another facing a two-game ban after he was charged with a grade-one crusher tackle in Thursday night's win over Melbourne.
Niukore, pinged by the match review committee for his tackle on Storm forward Tom Eisenhuth in the 30th minute of the 14-0 triumph, also reduced his sentence to one game with an early guilty plea.
Melbourne prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona was handed a grade-one careless high tackle charge for his hit on Niukore in the 53rd minute and received a fine of $750 after submitting an early guilty plea.
