The Penrith Panthers powered to a 13th consecutive win and the Melbourne Storm tightened their grip on second spot as big guns Nathan Cleary, Jarome Luai, Cameron Smith and Josh Addo-Carr tuned up for the finals with five-star performances.

Cleary and Luai were joined by fellow Panthers James Fisher-Harris and Liam Martin in the round 18 team of the week as votes continued to pile up for the premiership front-runners.

The Storm also had four players chosen with Smith and Addo-Carr joined by tryscoring machine Tino Fa'asuamaleaui and centre Justin Olam.

Last year's grand finalists the Raiders and Roosters filled the other five spots as the cream rose to the top in a slashing round of matches.
