Allan banned for one match for shoulder charge

Rabbitohs fullback Corey Allan has accepted a one-match ban for a shoulder charge on Panther Josh Mansour during Saturday night's preliminary final at ANZ Stadium.

Allan entered an early guilty plea rather than fight the charge at the judiciary and risk a two-match ban.

With Kalyn Ponga unavailable, Allan is expected to be named in the Maroons 27-man Origin squad and Queensland would have to seek an exemption to allow him to serve the suspension in Origin I, as was the case with Valentine Holmes, who copped a one-match ban for a shoulder charge in the Cowboys' last game.

Panther James Fisher-Harris was placed on report for a high shot on Junior Tatola but was not charged by the NRL match review committee.

As the Panthers head into their first grand final in 17 years coach Ivan Cleary will have a full squad to choose from.

Storm centre Brenko Lee was not charged by the match review committee over a high tackle in Friday night's 30-10 win over Canberra.

Lee was put on report for a careless high tackle on Raiders winger Semi Valemei but has escaped any further sanction.
