Who will join Kimiora Nati and Annette Brander by becoming the third winner of the Karyn Murphy Medal on Sunday?

With the Broncos seeking to make it three-from-three on grand final day, the experts at NRL.com are expecting big games from a couple of their stars.

The Roosters head into the decider at outsiders, but that doesn't mean they don't have players capable of winning the game single-handedly.

Experts' view

Steve Renouf (Maroons legend)

After a great few weeks of footy Ali Brigginshaw will lead the Broncos to a three-peat win with another dominant performance

Jamie Soward (2010 premiership winner)

Millie Boyle. The Broncos, NSW and Jillaroos prop rarely turns in a bad game. She's been the leader of the Brisbane pack in 2020 and there is little to suggest she won't do that again on Sunday.

Alicia Newton (NRL.com reporter)

Tamika Upton might've been pipped by Ali Brigginshaw for the Dally M medal but will be in the mix for the medal once the siren sounds.

Broncos v Roosters - Grand final

Paul Suttor (NRL.com editor)

Zehara Temara has been the Roosters' standout player this season, particularly in the decisive win over the Warriors. Halfbacks are always at the top of the queue for these kinds of awards and if the Sydneysiders are to spring an upset on Sunday it will be on the back of Temara's superb organisational skills.

Mary Konstantopoulos (Ladies Who League)

Ali Brigginshaw has been in superb form for the Brisbane Broncos. She is their chief playmaker and a big reason why the Broncos are undefeated this year. She will shine in this weekend's grand final and be a deserved winner of the Karyn Murphy medal.

Lone Scout (NRL.com Fantasy guru)

Ali Brigginshaw is the best player in the best team but with a Dally M Medal already won this week I'll lean towards her teammate and breakout Broncos star Tamika Upton, who is leading the NRLW in tries, line breaks and assists this year.

Dan Walsh (NRL.com reporter)

Tamika Upton. Has gone to another level with her running and support play at the back this season. Again looms as the gamebreaker as Brisbane chase a historic threepeat.

Brad Walter (NRL.com senior reporter)

If a Jillaroos side was chosen now Tamika Upton would be fullback and her stunning form for the Broncos this season is set to be rewarded with the Karyn Murphy Medal.

Joel Gould (NRL.com reporter)

Brisbane skipper Ali Brigginshaw is fresh from her Dally M success and as the best player in the women's game will stand up against the Roosters to snare the Karyn Murphy Medal.

NRLW coaches support expansion

Chris Kennedy (NRL.com reporter)

It would take a huge upset for Brisbane not to claim their third straight title and I can see the player of the season so far, Tamika Upton, lighting up in the final after looking near-unstoppable in the three group games.

Troy Whittaker (NRL.com reporter)

Tamika Upton. The Broncos No.1 has been in scintillating form and there's no reason she can't have another blinder on the big stage

Margie McDonald (NRL.com senior reporter)

I'm breaking my 'unofficial' rule of leaning towards halves or hookers for the Karyn Murphy Medal. Hannah Southwell makes over 100 metres in runs and 50 post-contact metres per game at lock, as she drags through or busts open defensive lines. She has great game awareness as well as her copybook tackling technique.

Unthinkable: How NRL achieved the impossible

Martin Lenehan (NRL.com senior journalist)

Broncos forward Millie Boyle has run for 288 metres in three games this season and 119 of those have been post-contact. The 22-year-old dual international played a key role last year's in grand final win in 2019 and she'll lead the way again on Sunday as Brisbane complete a three-peat.

Zac Bailey (NRL.com reporter)

Tamika Upton. The fullback started the NRLW season with a hat-trick and I have a feeling she'll end the season in the same fashion. Ali Brigginshaw will be instrumental for the Broncos, but I expect Upton will hang off the playmaker's hip in the grand final and chime in on Brisbane's backline, earning herself the prestigious honour.

Kenny Scott (NRL.com podcaster)

In an upset, Corban McGregor will take the Karyn Murphy medal in the NRLW after inspiring the Roosters to an historic maiden premiership. Gaining the mantle of the fastest player in the league this year, her speed should be a decisive factor in the game.
