Team of Origin II & Man of the Match: Blues just miss out on clean sweep

The second match of the 2020 Ampol State of Origin series was a one-sided affair but one Queenslander managed to make his way into the Team of Origin II.

After more than 20,000 votes across all nine starting positions and the interchange, Dane Gagai was the sole player from the losing side to get into the squad, according to the fans, edging out Clint Gutherson to be the other centre alongside Jack Wighton.

Blues halfback Nathan Cleary, who won the official man of the match award, was a runaway choice as the best player on the ground in the fans' view.
