David Fifita isn't shy in saying he's aiming for a "top eight, top four" finish in his first season as a Titan.
The former Broncos second-rower, who fronted the media in Gold Coast colours on Friday, said he felt "no pressure" despite joining the club on multimillion dollar three-year contract.
He will officially begin training with the team on Monday but has already been working with Titans medical staff to rehab the ankle and knee injuries that restricted him to nine matches this year.
The 20-year-old Maroons representative is confident about 2021 with the Gold Coast, who are coming off an improved ninth-placed result, boasting a dynamic pack which also now includes fellow recruit Tino Fa'asuamaleaui.
Asked about the potential to help lead the club to its second finals series since 2010, Fifita said: "It would mean everything.
"That's the goal next year – top eight, top four. Hopefully we'll do that next year. I know myself and the boys will train hard for the pre-season.
"One hundred percent, [a premiership] is my ultimate goal. One of my mates has already got one, Tino. That's the goal."
Fifita attended Keebra Park High School alongside new teammates Tanah Boyd, Moeaki Fotuaika and AJ Brimson while he's close with Fa'asuamaleaui having played alongside him at junior Queensland representative level.
He's glad to be in familiar surroundings and said his affinity with the area was a factor in his "really hard decision" to leave Brisbane.

"I love the Coast, I love the beach," he said.
"I had the opportunity to go to Sydney but I didn't want to go to Sydney. I think it's only an hour away from my house in Brissie, it's just down the road. I think it's what's best for myself and my family. I've got to look after them."
Despite the renowned relaxing lifestyle of the tourist strip, Fifita can - rightly or wrongly - prepare for harsh scrutiny as a marquee man.
"It's a new challenge, new beginning on the Coast," the three-time Maroon said.
"With all that money side, my mum looks after that so I don't have to worry about that. I just need to worry about getting my body right in pre-season and hopefully ripping in next season.
"I've already started rehab running with my physios and other trainers at the Titans, but on Monday I'll probably just build up to my running and stuff like that. But I’ll be good for round one next year."
The explosive forward repeatedly referenced his need to rip into pre-season training - and there are a few things he wants to focus on.
"I just need to lose weight and then I'll be sweet," he said, adding that getting his defence right was another priority.

David won't be the only Fifita at the Titans after the club signed 17-year-old JoJo, who has been in the Queensland Reds rugby system.
"I met JoJo when I was at Keebra Park and he came to one of the trials and he killed it," David Fifita said of the junior sprint champion.
"We're related somewhere down the path. I saw him training the other day and looks good transferring from rugby union to rugby league … He only graduated [from school] this year, so a big future ahead for him."
