Trial match charges: Flegler escapes ban for dangerous throw

Broncos prop Tom Flegler, who had already been given the all-clear over a shoulder issue, is all set for round one after entering an early guilty plea to a dangerous throw charge.

The Brisbane prop was hit with a grade-one charge for a tackle on Rueben Cotter in the 26th minute of the trial loss to the Cowboys on Saturday night, .

If he had unsuccessfully contested the charge, Flegler would have been banned for round one.

Brisbane head Of performance Andrew Croll said Flegler "pulled up well and there is no instability in the shoulder".

"We may adjust his training slightly this week but there are no significant worries," he said.
