Everything you need to know about 2021 NRL season

After a disrupted season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Telstra Premiership promises to be one of the best ever.

Here is all you need to know about the season in which the Melbourne Storm will try to win back-to-back premierships for the first time in their history while 15 other clubs try to knock them off their perch.

Season 2021

Key dates

Round 1: Thursday, March 11

ANZAC Weekend Round (Round Seven): Featuring matches in Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Townsville, and Darwin.

Magic Round: Magic Round Brisbane, delivered by KFC, returns to Suncorp Stadium between May 14-16 (Round 10). 

How good is Magic Round

Indigenous Round - May 27-30: The NRL will have a national footprint for Indigenous Round (Round 12), featuring matches in Sydney, Townsville, Brisbane, Perth, Newcastle and Coffs Harbour.

Women In League Round - Round 22, August 12-15: The NRL will celebrate the contribution of women to The Greatest Game of All across all eight games.

Defy impossible: The cannon

Ampol State of Origin: Men's game one - June 9 (MCG); game two - June 27 (Suncorp Stadium); game three - July 14 (Stadium Australia). Women's Origin June 25 (venue TBC)

Telstra Premiership finals series: September 10 - October 3

Grand final: Sunday, October 3

Play Rugby League

As a token of thanks for their dedication, free Telstra Premiership tickets will be offered every round this season to a range of grassroots rugby league participants.

Through the Play Rugby League Rewards Program, registered junior players born on or after January 1, 2006, as well as coaches, referees, volunteers and schoolteachers, are eligible to claim a complimentary general admission pass to one match per round.

NRL Pick'Em Weekly 4

You could win $100,000 in the NRL's newest game for fans if you choose the correct winners and margins each round. Best of all, NRL Pick'Em Weekly 4 is free to play. Each week the players who get all four nominated games right will share in $100,000. If there's no outright winner a prize of $5000 will go to the highest-performing tipster.

NRL Fantasy

NRL Tipping
