NRL Fantasy winners and losers: Round 6

The incredible Nathan Cleary show kept on rolling and Kalyn Ponga took no time to join the 100-club but a host of popular guns either struggled or found themselves facing suspension in a dramatic round six.

Winners

Cleary notched the equal-best score of the year, matching Ryan Papenhuyzen's 124 and falling just two short of his own all-time record of 126 with stats in just about every column and a late try.

With an average of 97.8 through five games, he is producing an unprecedented run of scoring and is simply a must-have.

Ponga raced out of the blocks with 60 in his first game of the year in round five before raising the bat with 101 in a thrilling late win over the Sharks.

The Knights pack overall bounced back from last week's shocker with Ponga's teammate Tyson Frizell busting out an impressive 92 and Mitch Barnett (70) and Connor Watson (61) also impressive.

Eels duo Reed Mahoney (91) and Isaiah Papali'i continued their rich veins of form, with the latter now more than $200k more expensive than he started the year. Halfback Mitch Moses (73) also bounced back nicely.

Get Caught Up: Round 6 must-see moments

Jahrome Hughes (85), Tohu Harris (83), Cam Murray (81), Brian To'o (76), Briton Nikora (74), Jesse Ramien (72) and Josh Hodgson, Tom Burgess and Kurt Capewell (all 70) also scored heavily.

Latrell Mitchell (69) is just six points behind Papenhuyzen as the top scoring WFB so far this year but faces three weeks out suspended.

Tom Trbojevic (67) was back with a bang but threatened a much higher score after being 51 at half-time.

Wests Tigers rookie Jake Simpkin is already in over 16% of teams after taking over from Jacob Liddle and tackled his way to 54 in 80 minutes.

Losers

The Roosters' scrappy loss to the Storm was bad news for two popular guns and one cheapie, with Angus Crichton (38), James Tedesco (36) and Sam Walker (24)  producing disappointing scores. Siosiua Taukeiaho (19) went off early with a rib injury and was unable to return.

Popular cash cow Sean O'Sullivan (18) came back down to earth with a thud and Spencer Leniu (18) continues to be starved of minutes.

The Titans' big loss to Manly was bad news for most of their players with David Fifita (52) scoring well below his recent form and Tyrone Peachey and Tino Fa'asuamaleaui (both 33) also struggling with the latter facing two weeks out suspended.

Paul Momirovski (42) scored fine but is another facing suspension depending how his trip to the judiciary goes on Tuesday night.

In more bad news for Fantasy centres, James Roberts (15) has scored 23 total points in his past two games. His teammate Luke Brooks (36) shapes as a sell.
