The NRL Integrity Unit is investigating an incident involving a Parramatta player which the club says was filmed without his consent.

Parramatta issued a statement on Wednesday to say it was aware of a video of one their players filmed in a toilet cubicle with an unidentified woman.

An NRL spokesman confirmed the Integrity Unit was aware of the matter and was working with the club.

According to the Eels statement: "We understand that those on the video have been illegally filmed by another person without consent and that an attempt has been made to distribute the video to media outlets and on social media platforms.

"The club has informed the NRL Integrity Unit and is taking the matter very seriously, particularly given the potential invasion of privacy of those involved."
