NRL Fantasy winners & losers: Round 7

Titans powerhouse David Fifita crashed over for his second hat-trick and second 100-plus NRL Fantasy score in the space of three weeks while there were some handy scores from a range of money-making options in round seven.

Winners

There is just no stopping Fifita this year, with Gold Coast's big-money recruit crashing over for his seventh, eighth and ninth tries of 2021. While it wasn't quite enough to get his team the win, it did earn 107 points for his Fantasy owners.

Powerful Eels flanker Maika Sivo (103) also joined this year's century club with a hat trick of his own and a remarkable five line breaks in a huge win over Brisbane.

So ridiculous is the Fantasy form of Panthers halfback Nathan Cleary that scoring 'only' 87 felt like a disappointment, in what was his second-lowest score of the season so far but the third best score of any player in round seven.

A surprising name as joint third-best score of the week is Eels bench forward Bryce Cartwright, who was given just five minutes a week earlier but tormented Brisbane with a try, try assist, two try-saves and five busts on his way to 87 points in 54 minutes.

Kurt Mann (83), Tevita Pangai jnr and Jahrome Hughes (both 81), Daly Cherry-Evans (80), Corey Thompson (75), Payne Haas (74), Jayden Brailey (71) and Marty Taupau (70) also went large.

Tom Trbojevic (65) registered big numbers in attack before going off for an early mark for a second straight game.

Cash cow Sam Walker (67) bounced back from last week's low score in fine style while there were encouraging scores for a range of cheapies including Tom Opacic (63), Josh Schuster (57), Lachlan Croker (53), Haumole Olakau'atu (51), Ben Hampton (49), Jake Averillo (48) and Reece Walsh (44).

Losers

James Tedesco managed just six points before being cleaned up by a swinging arm from Jordan Pereira that resulted in a failed HIA. His price is plummeting and he will be very affordable in a week or two.

Daine Laurie (17) had his worst score of the year in the Tigers' big loss, James Roberts (9) has a three-round average under 11 and minutes proved very tough to come by for Stefano Utoikamanu (24) and Spencer Leniu (25).

Jake Turpin (35) also lost minutes for the first time this year thanks to Danny Levi's club debut.

NRL Round-Up - Round 7

There were also plenty of late outs that hurt Fantasy coaches with popular Warriors picks Tohu Harris, Sean O'Sullivan and David Fusitu'a all being scratched through the week.

For those that rushed in Sam Verrills, the Roosters hooker reverted to the bench on game day and played just 32 minutes for 20 points.
