Stat Attack: Broncos flyer feels the Mead for speed

David Mead ran away with the game against the Roosters last Saturday and the Broncos flyer also proved too quick to catch on the weekly Telstra Tracker leaderboard.

The Papua New Guinean winger, who scored a hat-trick in a shock 34-16 upset on Saturday, was clocked at a top speed of 35.2km/h.

That was enough to edge out Eels halfback Mitch Moses (35.1km/h) while Wests Tigers hooker Jacob Liddle (34.7), Storm star Josh Addo-Carr (34.6) and Warriors rookie Reece Walsh (34.6) weren't far behind.

Results from the Titans weren't included for round 11 because of incorrectly processed GPS data and Rabbitohs five-eighth Cody Walker wasn't able to be tracked due to a device error.

Meanwhile, Tom Trbojevic's sizzling form continues to translate to big Telstra Tracker numbers with the Sea Eagles fullback again topping the high-speed (20km/h or more) distance category.

Trbojevic racked up 754 high-speed metres as he inspired a win over the Eels and his Manly teammate Reuben Garrick, who scored a try on the wing, was in second place with 700 high-speed metres.

Given the Sharks-Dragons game went to golden point, it's unsurprising that Cronulla halfback Chad Townsend, who booted the winning field goal in the 83rd minute, covered the most distance.

Townsend ran 9.58km, with Knights back Enari Tuala next (9.41km). Sharks fullback Will Kennedy (9.31km) ranked fifth.

Raiders debutant Brad Schneider headed up the relative distance standings with an average of 106 metres per minute in a 10-minute cameo off the interchange in Saturday's 34-10 loss to the Storm.

Townsend and Kennedy were the only starting players to make the top five with respective averages of 104mpm and 101mpm.
