Storm fullback Nicho Hynes.

Below par efforts from a couple of Fantasy guns plus some late outs made round 12 another very tricky week for Fantasy coaches.

Winners

Anyone who jumped on stand-in Storm fullback Nicho Hynes recently will be laughing all the way to the bank as Hynes topped the round 12 scoring with 90 points in a big win over the Broncos.

The performance makes it back-to-back price jumps over $100k for the in-demand playmaker.

Corey Harawira-Naera (87) is hitting his best form with nine busts in the loss to the Roosters while Dane Gagai bounced back from some low scores with a hat-trick and 87 points of his own.

Get Caught Up: Round 12 must-see moments

His outside man Alex Johnston (84) also cashed in with three tries against the fragile Eels' right side defence while early-season cash-cow Jake Averillo booted an astonishing 728 kick metres in his total of 83 in the loss to Penrith.

Jesse Ramien (86), Daly Cherry-Evans (81), Ben Hunt (79), David Fifita in his return from suspension (76), Damien Cook (73), Nathan Cleary (a season-low 72), Moeaki Fotuaika and Brandon Smith (both 70) round out the 70-plus scores from round 12.

Daine Laurie reignited his price rises with 69, Reece Walsh kept his going with 66, Paul Momirovksi rewarded the patience of anyone still holding him with 58, and Joseph Suaalii was a late call-up and produced 47.

Losers

The late outs really stung a few coaches. Kalyn Ponga was withdrawn earlier in the week but the likes of Josh Schuster and Kurt Mann being scratched on Sunday were hard to plan around.

Injuries once again played a part with AJ Brimson (knee bruise) hobbling off in the second half with five points and Payne Haas (34) suffering a knee injury the most notable among popular Fantasy players.

Scheming Smith puts Hynes over

Tom Starling was also benched on game day by coach Ricky Stuart and only got on late in the match for 17 points.

Ben Marschke (11) was interchanged early and never returned, Justin Olam (22) was kept quiet, Latrell Mitchell (24) didn't catch any of the attacking stats in the rout of the Eels, the hot streak of Tom Trbojevic (35) finally ran out,  Jayden Brailey (39) has now posted his worst season score in successive weeks and Mitch Moses (42) was also kept quiet by Souths.
